Meet Alivia: The CEO, Designer, and Model!
Hi everyone, I’m Alivia! I grew up loving horses and competed in showjumping. I had to sell my horse when I was 17 when I decided to join the Canadian Armed Forces, and later became a firefighter at 21.
Around the same time I received my offer letter with the Fire Department, I was competing for Miss Canada. My mom did pageants when she was my age and inspired me to compete too! I was so scared of what people would think of me, but started to receive overwhelming support from the press and fire department. I realized I could be girly, AND love being a firefighter…
I always knew that I wanted to create my own clothing brand because there was something missing for me in equestrian fashion, which led me to creating something that is both sporty AND elegant. While I was Miss Canada, I was fully immersed in my duties as a title holder, but held onto my vision for Grand Girl Clothing one day, and I decided I couldn’t put it off any longer!
My motto is simple: going to the barn is a fashion show.
Because I truly believe you can be a great athlete - and look incredible doing it!
Grand Girl Clothing is made for sustainability. I know that when I go into my closet I look for the staples that I consistently come back to and never get sick of. 🎀🤍
